Medication Assistance
The Medication Assistance Program provides heart medication to clients who are unable to afford their prescriptions. Medication is provided through local drug stores and the drug companies’ Indigent Drug Programs.
Cholesterol and Blood Pressure Screenings
Total and HDL Cholesterol Screenings are offered at various locations using a portable analyzer. Screenings are held on-site for local organizations and at the Heart Society office. Results and counseling are given at the time of the screening. Participants are charged a nominal, cost recovery fee for the supplies used.
Heart Health Education
The Cardiovascular Health Education program addresses modifiable risk factors such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure, obesity, smoking and a sedentary lifestyle. We provide programs for adults and youth through schools, church groups, civic organizations and businesses.
